About
Our Vision
Kula's founder Maja Piechocka’s love affair with plants started in childhood, long before she officially traded studio craft for garden shears five years ago. A design graduate from Manchester School of Art, Maja naturally evolved from crafting beautiful objects to sculpting living, breathing outdoor spaces. Having spent the last five years working with plants on the ground, she combined her love of craft with outdoor living to launch Kula—her latest baby and creative venture, space dedicated to reimagining gardens with artistry and intention. Alongside her trusted team—Amber Newbrook, Emma Hicklin, Louise Roskell, and Rebecca Adcock—Maja brings an infectious passion, deep craft knowledge, and dedicated care to every project, creating spaces that feel as good to live in as they look. Kula brings a playful yet meticulous approach to garden design, dedicated to crafting vibrant, beautifully tailored spaces for every client.
Kula team brings infectious energy, years of hands-on experience.

'Maja and the team have been looking after my garden for the past year, and the difference they have made is amazing!
They have completely transformed the borders, keeping everything beautifully maintained and looking its best throughout the seasons. They are reliable, hardworking and take real pride in what they do.
I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They’ve turned my garden into a lovely space that I really enjoy — I even call them my “Border Control crew “
Thank you, Maja and team, for all your hard work over the last year. You’ve made such a difference!'

'The girls have worked for me every two weeks since early spring doing garden maintenance. They do the difficult tasks I can no longer do and work hard for all their time here. Because they come in a threesome my four hours is done in an hour and twenty minutes so I can do other things in the day as well. This week they took out a sizeable conifer complete with roots and moved two shrubs for me and repotted a clematis. They are all lovely to work with and a happy troop together. I am very happy I found them'.

'Maja & her team come highly recommended. I am a long standing customer and have been suitably impressed with the professionalism and dedication to their craft. My back garden has been completely transformed over the past 12 months. One very satisfied customer!!

'Maja started working for me in June 2025 after I stopped my previous gardener. She comes regularly, with helpers, and when here, works extremely hard. I am not left wondering if or when she will be coming as Maja always sends me a text with the date and time of the next visit and she has never let me down. Maja has a lot of knowledge and if she does not know an answer to a question she will find out and let me know on her next visit. Being a widow, I value and appreciate Maja and her team, and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who is in need of a gardener'.
